선박 (배)의 건조에 후판이 사용되고 있습니다.
무거운 철강재로 만들어진

배가 바다에 떠 있다는게 신기하죠.
배의 안전을 위해 선박의 건조에

사용되는 철강재는 각 나라의 선급협회의
규정에 따라 제조된 후판을 사용해야 합니다.

각국의 선급협회는 DNV, ABS, LR, GL, KR,
BV, NK, RINA, CCS, RS, IACS등이 있고 강종으로는

선급 일반 강종인 A. B. D.E — Mild steel
선급 고장력강으로 — High tensile strength steels

AH , DH , EH , FH
등으로 표시되는 강종이 있습니다.

이러한 강종은 선박과 컨테이너선의 초대형화에 따라
두께가 두꺼워지고, 두껍지만 고강도가 요구되며

선박에 사용되는 철강재가 극저온의 환경에서도
철강재의 물성 저하가 없도록 제조 될 것을 요구하고 있습니다.

예를 들어 ASTM 기준으로는 EH36인 경우
13가지의 화학 성분을 제한하고

철강재 충격시험을 무려 마이너스 40도에서
시험할 것을 요구하고 있습니다…. Charpy impact test (CVN)

또한 Strain-Aging
(가공 후 시효 현상에 의한 경화/취화 측정)

CTOD (Crack Tip Opening Displacement :
반복 하중에 대한 파괴 인성 시험)

낮은 Ceq (탄소당량 : Carbon equivalent)
관리로 용접성을 확보하고

TMCP (Thermo Mechanical control process :
열가공제어법) 제조가 필요합니다.

※ High tensile strength steels
Steel products manufactured for building, bridges, ships, vehicles,
automobiles, other structural use and pressure vessel use which
require weldability, notch toughness, workability, and
tensile strength of 490 N/㎟ min. in general.
In cold rolled steel sheets, those of 340 N/㎟ min. in tensile
strength are called high tensile strength steels.

※ Charpy impact test
Test to measure the absorbed energy, impact value, percentage
of brittle/ductile fracture, transition temperature, etc. with using
charpy impact testing machine in which test piece is supported by
two supports distant by 40 mm so that the notch meets the middle
between supports and is broken by striking with one blow of
pendulum to the face opposite the notch.

Ceq : 탄소당량 (Carbon equivalent) : The value obtained by converting the
influential strength of elements other than carbon into carbon content.
The Carbon equivalent to tensile strength, that to the maximum hardness in weld zone, etc.
are often used. the following formula is applied for weldability in JIS and KS.

탄소 이외의 원소의 영향력을 탄소량으로 환산한 공식임.
인장강도에 대한 탄소당량, 용접부 최고 경도에 대한 탄소당량 등이 잘 사용됩니다.
철강의 성질은 탄소량에 의해 크게 좌우되고, 특히 용접부의
기계적 성질은 탄소량에 의해 크게 좌우됩니다.
Manganese를 포함한 다른 합금 원소도 약간의 영향력을 미치므로,
이 영향력을 탄소의 영향력으로 환산한 것을 탄소당량 (炭素當量)이라고 합니다.
