S355M 과 S355ML Plate 는
EN 10025 Part 4 에 나타나는 강재로

용접 구조용 강재입니다.
두 강종 모두 TMCP 생산입니다.

두 강종 모두를 영어로 간략하게 표현한 말은
Fine-grain structural steels thermo-mechanically-rolled 입니다.

두 강종 모두 우수한 냉간 성형성을 보이며
Cold-bending, Cold-folding 강재 입니다.

S355M 과 S355ML Plate 의, 가장 큰 차이점은 CVN 입니다.
샤르피 V-Notch Test 온도에서

S355M 은 +20, 0, -10, -20℃에서
Longitudinal, Transverse 두 방향의 Energy 값이 있지만

S355ML 은 S355M 의 영역을 포함하며
-30, -40, -50℃ 까지의 Joule Energy 요구 값이 있습니다.

당연한 말이겠지만, S355M가 S355ML
두 강종 함유 원소 차이는 당연히 있습니다.

이 강종들은 주로 TMCP 라는 제조 공정으로 생산되며,
TMCP란, TMCP (Thermo Mechanical Control Process : 온라인 정밀 제어 열가공 처리)는

두께 6 mm이상의 고급 강종 후판의 제조 공정 중 하나로
TMCP = Controlled Rolling + Accelerated Cooling라는 수식으로 표현 가능하며

Controlled Rolling = High Toughness and Better Weldability
Accelerated Cooling = Higher Strength를 확보할 수 있습니다.

Steels which resist grain growth over a considerable temperature range,
