A285 Gr.C , A285-C 는 압력 용기용 탄소강이면서
중저 수준의 항복 강도와 인장 강도를 가지는 Plate ASTM Code입니다.

특히 이 강종은 두께에 유의해야 합니다.
ASTM에서는 A285 Gr.A,

A285 Gr.B, A285 Gr.C 세가지 Grade가 나타나는
A285 모든 Grade에 대해

inch 로는 2 inch, mm 로는 50 mm 까지
두께 한정판 강종입니다.

희안 할 정도로 ASTM 규격으로는 내용이 간단하게
수록된 강재 Spec이지만 다음과 같은 특징이 있습니다.

The maximum thickness of plates under this specification,
for reason of internal soundness, is limited to
a maximum thickness of 2 inch (20 mm) for all grades

Pressure Vessel Plate ASTM 자재로, 가장 빈번하게 사용되는
A516-70 , A516-60 , A516-65 의 A516 계열보다는

형편없는 수요를 가지는 A285 Code입니다.
그러니 Stock이 없고 거의 Order Made 하고 있습니다.

A285 Gr.C 의 ASTM 정식 명칭은 Pressure Vessel Plates, Carbon Steel,
Low- and Intermediate-Tensile Strength 입니다.

Steel products manufactured pressure vessels and high pressure
equipment which require strength, weldability and principally
toughness at a ordinary temperature.
They are generally used for the principal portions of
pressure vessels.
압력 용기 및 고압 설비용으로서 고온 강도, 용접성 및 주로
상온에서의 인성을 중요시하여 제조 된 강재로
보통 압력 용기의 주요 부분에 사용됩니다.
