A276-420 은, ASTM의
마르텐자이트계 스텐레스 규격입니다.

JIS의 SUS420J1, SUS420J2 와
비슷하지만, 다릅니다.

스테인레스 강종에서는
표기법에 따라, 특징을 알 수 있는 경우가 있습니다.

스테인레스에
“L” 알파벳이 들어가면

저탄소강을 의미하고
탄소량 max 0.030%로 대표적인 경우가 316L입니다.

“S”가 들어가면
Low Carbon (저탄소강)으로 탄소량 max 0.08%를 의미하며,

“J” 알파벳이 들어가면
일본의 JIS 만의 독자적인 규격입니다…SUS4210J1, SUS420J2.

“N” 이 들어가면
질소 (N) 첨가강으로, SUS304N2의 경우입니다.

“XM”이 들어가는 경우는
ASTM 규격이면서 특허 강종입니다.

페라이트계의 SUS XM27,
오스테나이트계의 SUS XM15J1과 같이 표기됩니다.

※ Martensitic Stainless Steels
Stainless steels which can be hardened by increasing carbon contents
of ferritic stainless steel and heat treatment to martensitic structure
SUS410 is representative.
담금질함으로서 마르텐자이트 조직으로 되어, 경화 시킬 수가 있는
스테인레스강으로 SUS410 — 13% 크롬강이 대표적입니다.

※ Martensite (마르텐자이트)
체심 정방체 (BCC) 구조를 가지는 준안정 고용체를 말합니다.
이것은 오스테나이트가 확산 기구가 아닌 방법으로 변태 되어 형성됩니다.

Metastable solid solution with a body-centred tetragonal crystal or a
body-centered cubic crystal having the same chemical composition
as that of the original austenite.
It is formed at a temperature of point Ms or lower by the transformation
of austenite without diffusional mechanism.
Martensite is sometimes produced by plastic deformation of austenite.
