주로 생산 방법이 TMCP로 생산되는 Carbon Steel로,
항복강도 460MPa. minimum 용접 구조용 강재입니다.

2016.12월 개정 New Steel Symbol SM460B,
Old Symbol은 SM570 입니다.

Impact Test 온도에서 약간의 차이가 있지만
이전 SM570 과 물성에서 작은 차이 밖에 없습니다.

고항복점 강재로 DIN-EN,
S460 급의 High Yield Strength 입니다.

두께 100mm까지만 규정 되 있는 Specification 이지만
수요자 공급자간 협의에 따라 150 mm t 까지 공급 가능한 강종입니다.

KS 규정상으로는 강판 (Plate), 강대 (Strip), Section (형강) 강종으로
규정됐지만, 실제 공급은 주로 Plate, 후판 (Thick Plate)으로만 공급됩니다.

TMCP로 생산되어 공급되면 SM460B Steel Symbol에
TMC가 부기 되어 SM460B-TMC로 표기합니다.

KS 전 SM570 은 CVN : -5℃ 에서 27 Joule,
개정 후 S460B 는 CVN : 0℃ 에서 27 Joule 로 만족을 못하고,

더 강한 충격 시험 통과 자재가 필요한 경우를 감안해
SM460C : CVN : -20℃ 에서 27 Joule,

YP 460 MPa minimum이 용접 구조강 중
최상급 강재가, 개정 KS에 신설 됐습니다.

※ TMCP (열가공 제어)
A generic term for manufacturing methods carrying out air cooling or
enforced controlled cooling subsequent to the main process
of controlled rolling.
It includes the thermo-mechanical rolling and accelerated rolling,
but not when it is classical controlled rolling alone
This is also called TMCP.

※ 강대(Steel strip in coil, steel sheet in coil, steel plate in coil)
Hot rolled or cold rolled flat steel products which are coiled up.
