JIS G4053 은 저합금 기계구조용
합금강재에 대한 규정에 SCM415 강재가 있고
SCM415 강재에 Lead (Pb)
0.10~0.30 합금 하면 SCM415F 로 “F”를 붙입니다.
AISI (American Iron and Steel Institute : 미국 철강 협회)는
Lead (Pb) 첨가강에 대해 “L”을 붙여 표기하므로
Example : AISI 12L14 — JIS SUM24L
이를 따라서 SCM435L 로 불리기도 합니다.
Lead(Pb) 합금 하면 쾌삭성 (Free cutting)이 향상 되,
강에 합금 되면, 그 강재는 쾌삭강 (Free cutting steel)이 됩니다.
불과 Pb 0.10~0.30 의 합금만으로도
절삭성 향상을 가져옵니다.
SCM415F, SCM435F, S45CF 로, 표기되면 Lead (Pb) 첨가 쾌삭강을,
S45CFS 와 같이 표기되면, S45C + Free Sulfur의 개념으로
Sulfur (S : 황)을 첨가해서
쾌삭성을 향상 시킨 강재를 말합니다.
※ Sulfur (S : 황)
In amounts of 0.06 to 0.3%, increases machinability.
It is not recommended for alloys used in hot forming.
It decreases weldability and ductility.
황 원소는 0.06~0.3% 수준의 합금으로, 절삭성을 높여 주지만
열간 압연 강재에는 사용치 않으며, 용접성과 연성을 해치는 원소입니다.

Steels to which free cutting properties is improved by
individual or combined addition of phosphorus, sulfur,
lead, selenium, tellurium, calcium, etc.
인, 황, 납, 셀레늄, 테루륨 칼슘 등을 단독 또는 복합으로
첨가하여, 피삭성을 높인 강.
