2016년 12월 Pipe  KS 규격이 개정이 됐습니다.
이때 개정의 핵심은 구조용강 (Use for structural) 입니다.

구조용 강관, 구조용 강판, 구조용 형강이
개정의 주요 Target 입니다.

기존 Steel Symbol 에 나타나는 숫자는, 인장강도 최소 값 이였습니다.
예를 들어 STK400인 경우 인장 강도 최소 값이 400 MPa 였습니다.

이를 항복 강도 기준으로 변경하고
Steel Symbol 도 바꿨습니다.

예를 들어 SGT275 인 경우, 숫자 “275”는
항복 강도 최소 값을 의미합니다.

기존의 Steel Symbol 이, JIS 체계였다면
지금은 국제 기준인 ISO 기준과 DIN-EN 강도 체계를 적용하고 있습니다.

또한 단순히 Steel Symbol의 변경 뿐 아니라
강도를 상향 조정해, 구조용 건축물 사용 안전성을 높였습니다.

※ Steel tubes for structural purposes (구조용 강관 : 構造用 鋼管)
Steel tubes for application which required high strength such as
materials  of civil engineering, buildings, bridges, iron towers
and machine parts.

토목, 건축, 교량, 철탑 및 기계 부품용으로서
강도를 중시해서 제조 된 강관.

※ Electric Resistance Welded steel tubes (ERW 溶接鋼管 : ERW 용접 강관)
Steel tubes which are, after forming steel strips, steel plates
or steel sheets to tubular shape, manufactured by welding the
joint parts by electric resistance welded method and having one
welding line parallel to the longitudinal direction.
Those hot reducing rolled of electric resistance welded are called
hot finished electric resistance welded steel tubes, and those cold
drawn or cold rolled are called cold finished electric resistance
welded steel tubes.

강대 또는 강판을 원통형으로 성형한 다음, 전기 저항 용접법으로
이음매 부분을 용접 하여 제조 되며, 관의 길이 방향으로 평행한
1줄의 용접선을 가지고 있는 강관.
전기 저항 용접 강관을 열간 조리개 압연 한 것을 열간 마무리
전기 저항 용접 강관, 냉간 인발 한 것을 냉간 마무리
전기 저항 용접 강관이라고 합니다.
