C91700 을 포함한 ASTM B427 은
Gear 용 주물 제품에 대한 규정입니다.

C91700 은, Tin (Sn) 주석을 10%~12% 수준의 높은 Sn 합금 청동입니다.
Copper Alloy에서 주석 (Sn)을 12% 합금 하면

12% 수준까지는 항복강도가 직선으로 증가합니다.
Worm Gears, Worm Wheels, Gears, Use for bearing heavy loads and

relatively low speed 용도로 사용되며
Plates, Hex, Flats, Structural Shapes, Square 형태로 제조 됩니다.

가공성 (Machinability)에서는 C36000 — Free
cutting brass의 20% 수준입니다.

구리에 주석 합금한 청동의 경우, 황동보다 내마모성, 내식성이 좋고
주조성이 우수해, 기계 부품, 무기, 동상, 미술품으로도 사용됩니다.
