ASTM B171 은, 동합금 재질 뿐 아니라, 두께, 폭, 길이에 대한 공차와
재질별 비중까지 규정 되 있습니다.

또한ASTM B171 은, Temper 규정으로는
M20 : As hot rolled

M10 : Hot forged-air cooled
O20 : Hot-forged and annealed

O25 : Hot rolled and annealed
4가지 Grade 를 규정하고 있습니다.

※ Temper (질별 : 質別)
금속 또는 합금에 요구되는 특정한 물리적 및/또는 기계적 성질을
부여하는 공정으로 (예를 들어 기계적 처리 및/또는 열처리) 후의
제품의 상태를 말합니다.

The state of material after the necessary treatment is processed for
the purpose of giving the particular physical or mechanical property
to wrought products and alloy products.

For the treatment to wrought copper and copper alloys,
heat treatment and cold working are known.

※ Annealing
Heat treatment consisting of heating and soaking at a suitable
temperature followed by cooling under conditions such that,
after return to ambient temperature, the metal will be in
a structural state closer to that of equilibrium.
Annealing is a heat treatment process to transform the steel
structure in to a more homogeneous, soft or more suitable state

금속재료를 적당한 온도로 가열하고, 그 온도에서 유지하는 균질화 처리를
한 뒤, 냉각함으로써 냉각 후 상온에서의 조직이 평형상태에
가깝도록 하는 열처리를 말합니다.
