0℃, 27 Joule , 최소 인장강도 400 MPa 입니다.

SM400B 로, 열처리 없이 주문이 대부분이지만
Normalizing 열처리 조건 주문도 있습니다.

이런 경우 Steel Symbol은 SM400B +N  (SM400BN)이라는
Steel Symbol 이 붙습니다.

SM400BN 는 용접 구조용 강재로
일반 구조용강이나, 기계 구조용강과는 용도가 다릅니다.

SM400BN 는, 강판 (Plate), 강대 (Strip), 형강 (Shapes)
평강 (Flat) 로 생산되며, 두께 200 mm 까지 이고

그 이상의 두께는 수요자와 공급자간 합의 사항입니다.
건축 구조물, 교량, 차량 등에 사용된 열간압연강재입니다.

※ Rolled steel products (압연강재 : 壓延鋼材)
Steel products to be formed bars, wire rods, sections, steel strip
in coil, steel plates, flat bar and so on by rolling mill.
Normally those further not hot rolled by the manufacturer.

압연기로서 봉강, 선재, 형강, 강판, 강대, 평강 등의 모양으로, 성형 가공한 강재로
성형 가공 후 보통 제조자에 의해 더 이상 추가적인  열간 압연이 없습니다.

※ Charpy V-Notch Impact Test (CVN)
Test to measure the absorbed energy, impact value, percentage
of brittle/ductile fracture, transition temperature, etc. with using
charpy impact testing machine in which test piece is supported by
two supports distant by 40 mm so that the notch meets the middle
between supports and is broken by striking with one blow of
pendulum to the face opposite the notch.

샤르피 충격 시험기를 사용하여 시험편을 40 mm 간격이 있는 두 개의
지지대에 올려 놓고, 또는 노치부를 지지대 사이의 중앙에 놓고
노치부의 뒷면을 해머로 1회만 충격을 주어, 시험편을 파단 시키고
흡수 에너지, 충격치, 파면율, 천이 온도 등을 측정하는 시험.
