1.7227, 42CrMoS4 는
Chromium and Molybdenum 합금강입니다.

Chromium 합금으로 소입성 (quenching)을 향상되지만
취성 발생 여지가 있어, Molybdenum을 합금 했습니다.

JIS 기계구조용합금강재 SCM440 재질과
비교 가능한 강재입니다.

1.7227, 42CrMoS4 는 절삭성 향상 재질로–황 함량 0.035 max.
1.7225, 42CrMo4 와, 황 (Sulfur)에서만

미세한 차이가 있을 따름입니다–황 함량 0.020~0.040.
42CrMoS4 는, QT 열처리재, Normalizing 열처리 사용하며

표면 처리로는 peeled, turned products와 단조 제품이 있습니다.
기어, 축 (high toughness as axle), 항공기 부품으로 사용됩니다.

forging, cutting, drawing, etc. and heat treatment
보통 사용할 때 단조, 절삭, 인발 등의 가공과 열처리를 시행하여
소기의 성질을 얻어 기계 부품으로 만들어지는 합금강 강재

※ Machinability (절삭성 : 切削性)
The degree of easiness in cutting working
It is represented by such characteristics as cutting resistance,
life of used tools, degree of cutting finished surface, shape of cutting,
degree of easy treatment, etc.

절삭 가공할 때의 절삭 되기 쉬운 정도. 절삭 저항, 사용 공구의 수명,
절삭 끝 손질 면의 정도, 절삭설의 형상과 처리의 난이성 등의
특성을 나타냅니다.

※ Turned products (선삭제품) : Symbol +SH (DIN-EN)
Round bars products by turning on a lathe where the products
can be further processed by straightening and polishing.
This operation gives the bar special features with respect to shape,
dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
The removal of metal is carried out in such a way that the bright
product is generally free from rolling defects and surface decarburization.
For technical reasons some bars ordered as hot rolled products may be
delivered roughly turned(peeled), nevertheless such products are
treated as hot rolled products and not as bright products.
