S50C 는 기계 구조용 탄소강재 규격입니다.
탄소량 0.47~0.53% 로

탄소량의 중간 값 (0.50%) 이
강재의 Symbol S50C 에 있습니다.

탄소량만으로 강재의 강도를 조절한 강재로
QT 열처리 해서 사용하는 경우가 많습니다.

S50C 는, killed steel (탈산강)으로 제조하며,
SAE-AISI 1050 과 비교 가능합니다.

QT(quenching tempering) 열처리시에
인장강도 740 MPa minimum 값입니다.

KS 에서는 SM50C, JIS에서는
S50C로 표기하고 있습니다.

열처리 안된 상태로 대부분 제조 공급되며
사용자의 용도와 강도에 따라 열처리 해서 사용합니다.

기계 구조용 탄소강 (機械構造用炭素鋼)
Carbon steels used for machine parts which obtain required
properties generally by giving final working such as
forging, cutting, drawing, etc. and heat treatment

보통 사용할 때 단조, 절삭, 인발등의 가공과 열처리를 시행하여
소기의 성질을 얻어 기계 부품으로 만들어지는 탄소강 강재

※ Killed Steel (킬드강, 탈산강)
Steel sufficiently deoxidized with ferrosilicon, aluminium, and so on.
In the case of ingot casting, during the progress of solidification in a ingot mold,
it is gently solidified without generation of carbon monoxide,
being comparatively uniform, with little segregation and has no blow hole.
however, because of a shrinkage cavity is formed in the centre of upper part,
its yield is low, In the case of continuous casting, it is killed steel and,
comparing with an ingot casting, uniformity and yield better.
killed steel is further classified according to grain size or deoxidizer.
페로실리콘이나, 알루미늄 등으로 충분히 탈산한 강철로,
용탕이 응고 진행 중에 일산화탄소를 발생 시키지 않고,
조용히 응고해, 비교적 균질하고, 편석이 적고, 기포도 없지만
응고된 강괴 윗부분 중심으로부터, 수축공이 생겨, 회수율이
좋지 못한 단점이 있고, 결정입도, 탈산제에 따라 세부적으로 더 분류됩니다.

※ 탄소강에서는 산소를 강철을 약하게 만드는 불순물로 보고
탈산제를 이용해 강(Steel) 내부의 산소를 제거함
