F2633 은 Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) 형상기억합금에 대한
ASTM Superelastic (초탄성) 또는 Pseudoelasticity (의탄성)

재질의 tubing 에 대한 규정입니다.
Nickel 54.5~57.0% 수준의 함량에 나머지는 Titanium 합금입니다.

Carbon, Cobalt 등의 원소에 있지만, 극히 낮은 수준입니다.
Out diameter 10 mm (0.4 inch) 이하,

tubing wall thickness 2.0 (0.08 inch) 까지 입니다.
형상 기억 합금은 합금에 영구 변형을 시킨 후

특정 온도 이상으로 가열하면, 변형 전의
향상으로 되돌아 오는 금속을 말합니다.

Tubing 전용 규격이고, F2063 은, Bar, Flat, Tubing 규정이지만
SMA Tubing 인 경우 ASTM F2633 의 규정을 따릅니다.

F2633 금속의 연성(ductility), 내식성, 내마모성
반복 피로성, 진동 감쇠능이 우수한 성질이 금속입니다.

※ Ductility (연성 : 延性)
The property of metals that enables them to be mechanically deformed
when cold, without fracture. In steel, ductility is usually measured by
elongation and reduction area is determined in a tensile test.

금속에 인장력을 줘 소성 변형을 일으켰을 때, 끊어짐이 없이 선 (line)상으로
늘릴 수 있는 성질을 연성이라고 하고, 연성은 인장시험에서
연신율 (Elongation), 단면 수축율 (Reduction area; RA)로 측정합니다.
물질이 파괴되지 않고 유연하게 변할 수 있는 능력입니다.
쉽게 말해 물질이 파괴되지 않고 유연하게 변형할 수 있는 능력입니다.
