4330V Mod, Vanadium Alloy QT Steel

4330V Mod 강재의 특징은 Vanadium Alloy 입니다.
두 번째 특징은 +QT 열처리에 의한 150 ksi (1035 MPa)에

이르는 높은 항복강도와 충격 인성 (toughness) 성질의 강재입니다.
세 번째 특징은 4145 대비 낮은 탄소량으로

4145 강재 대비 보다 좋은 용접성입니다…but still challenging.
4330V Mod 강재는 강재의 강도에 중요한 원소인

탄소량에서 AISI4320 과 AISI4340 의 중간 값 탄소량과
4320, 4340 에 없는 Vanadium 을 합금하고

SAE-AISI 에서 규정하고 있는 43×× series 원소량을
약간 수정(modified) 한 결과, 4330V Mod 라고 부릅니다.

Vanadium 은, 약간 (미량 수준) 합금만으로도 강재의 강도를
높여주는 원소로, 주로 공구강의 합금 원소로 사용됩니다.

바나듐을 합금한 4330V Mod 강재의 경도는 QT
열처리시에 35~39 HRc 값 수준의 강재입니다.

4330V Mod 는, 우주 항공, air frames, bolting, oil and gas
industry, drilling jars, down holes 용도로 사용됩니다.

※ Toughness (인성 : 靭性)
The degree of difficulty in occurring impact breaking
because of the material’s toughness .
질기고 세며, 충격 파괴를 일으키기 어려운지, 어떤지의 정도.

※ Impact Test (충격 시험 : 衝擊試驗)
Test of evaluating toughness or brittleness of materials to examine
the magnitude of absorbed energy, fracture appearance, deformation
behavior, crack propagation behavior, etc. in breaking test piece by
applying impact load.
According to the manners to apply impact load, there are various
test methods such as impact tensile, impact compression, impact
bending, impact torsion, etc.
Further, according to kinds of testing machine to be used, they
are also divided into charpy impact test, I zod impact test, etc.

재료의 인성 또는 취성을 조사하기 위해, 시험편에 충격 하중을 가하여
파단 시키고, 소요된 에너지의 대소, 파면의 양산, 변형 거동, 균열의
진전 거동 등에 따라 평가를 하는 시험.
충격 하중 방법에 따라 충격 인장, 충격 압축, 충격 비틀림 시험 등이 있고
사용되는 시험기의 종류에 따라, 사르피 충격 시험, 아이조드
충격 시험으로 구분됩니다.
