SAE 841, ASTM B438 은 소결 금속 (sintered)이면서
함유 (含油) 베어링 (Oil impregnated), 청동 (Bronze)에 대한 규정입니다.

AMS 4805 — 89Cu-10Sn, MIL-B-5687 과 대응되는
다공성 (多孔性) 함유 소결 금속입니다.

SAE 841, ASTM B438 재질은 sleeve, flange, thrust,
spherical bronze-base bearing 용도로 쓰이는 금속입니다.

SAE 841, ASTM B438 은, PM (powder metallurgy) 재료입니다.
함유(含油 : oil impregnation)에 의한 자기 윤활 (self-lubricating) 특성입니다.

※ Radial crushing strength (압환 강도 : 壓環强度 : K)
Breaking strength of a cylindrical-type sintered object or compact, determined
by the application of radial crushing load using a specified method.
원통형 소결이나 압축 재료를 직경의 10% 이하 변형을 주는 하중을 가해
깨짐이 발행하기 전까지의 최대 하중을 MPa로 나타내고 K 로 표기합니다.
소결 성형체의 기계적 강도를 말합니다.

※ Oil impregnated bearing (소결 함유 베어링)
Powder metallurgical product, of which open pores are filled with
lubricating oil, used for bearing.
개방 기공에 윤활액을 함유 시킨 소결 베어링을 말하고, 오일리스 베어링,
(Oilless bearing) 자기 윤활 베어링(Self-lubricating bearing) 이라고도 합니다.

※ Impregnation (함침 : 含浸)
Process of filling the pores of a sintered object with a material, such as
for instance oil, wax, resin.
소결체의 연결 개방 기공 (open pore)에 기름, 왁스, 수지 등의 비금속 재료를 채우는 것.

※ Pore (기공 : 氣孔)
Inherent or induced cavity within a particle or within an object.
입자 또는 소결제 내부에 원래 존재하는 또는 후에 생기는 공극 (空隙)
