A516-70 은, ASTM 규격 탄소강재 중
대표적인 저온용 강재로, -46℃까지, CVN 규정의 강재입니다.

A516-70 은, A516 강재에 규정된
4가지 Grade 중 , 가장 강도가 높은 재질입니다.

A516 강재는 저온용 강재임을
ASTM 규정에 그대로 나타납니다.

A516 Standard Specification for Pressure Vessel plates,
Carbon-Steel, for Moderate- and Lower-Temperature Service.

A516 Grade 70, A516 Gr.70, A516-70 으로도 부르며
Spec 지정에 따라, As rolled 또는 Normalized 열처리 합니다.

예를 들어 A516-70N 으로 표기될 때, “N”은
Normalizing 열처리 약자입니다.

비파괴 시험으로는 Ultrasonic Test 조건으로, 수요가 지정에 따라
A435 (S8), A578 (S12) 조건이 있을 수 있습니다.

Steel products manufactured for the pressure vessels and structures
used at a low temperature which required toughness at a low
temperature and weldability.
There are carbon steel, low alloy steel, 2.5% nickel steel, 3.5 nickel steel
9% nickel steel, austenitic stainless steel, etc. according to use temperature.

저온하에서 쓰이는 용기, 설비 및 구조재로서 저온 인성 및 용접성을 중시해서
제조 된 강재로, 사용온도에 따라 탄소강, 저합금강, 2.5% 니켈강, 3.5% 니켈강
9% 니켈강, 오스테나이트 스텐레스강이 있습니다.

※ Non-destructive testing (NDT : 비파괴 시험 : 非破壞試驗)
Testing to examine existence of flaws, their existing positions, sizes,
forms, distribution of them without destruction materials and products.
This is at times applied to evaluate metallurgical properties.
There are radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing,
liquid penetrant testing, eddy current testing.

소재나 제품을 파괴하지 않고, 결함의 유무, 존재 위치, 크기, 모양,
분포 상태 등을 조사하는 비파괴 시험.
강질 시험 등에 응용되는 수도 있다.
방사선 투과 시험, 초음파 탐상시험, 자분 탐상 시험, 침투 탐상 시험,
와류 탐상 시험 등이 있습니다.
