SCMn 5 재질은 탄소량이 0.45% nominal 주강품입니다.
탄소량으로만 보면 S45C 와 같습니다.

하지만 SCMn 5 재질에는 Manganese 1.30 nominal 함량으로
S45C 망간 합금량 0.75 nominal 보다, 높습니다.

SCMn 5 재질은 열처리에 따라 SCMn 5A, SCMn 5B로 나누며
SCMn 5A — Tempering after Normalizing

SCMN 5B — Tempering after Quenching 으로
열처리에 따라 재질이 나뉘고, 기계적 성질 또한 달라집니다.

※ Steel castings (주강품 : 鑄鋼品)
Steels cast into mould to obtain the desired shape.
For mould, there are sand mould, metal mould, fire brick, black lead and so on.

강철을 주형에 주입해 소요 제품의 모양으로 만든 것으로
사형 (沙型), 금속 주형, 적벽돌 주형, 흑연 주형 등이 있습니다.

※ 열처리 ( Heat Treatment : 熱處理)
철강재의 전체 또는 일부에 열 사이클을 적용하여 그 성질 또는 조직을 변화 시키는
일련의 작업으로, 철강재의 화학 조성은 이러한 작업 과정으로 변할 수 있습니다.

※ Mechanical properties (기계적 성질 : 機械的性質)

fatigue strength, creep strength, etc.

인장강도, 항복점, 연신율, 단면 수축율, 경도, 충격치, 피로 강도,
크리프 강도 등 기계적인 변형 및 파괴에 관계되는 성질을 말합니다.
