Selenium (Se) 를 쾌삭 원소로 합금한 AMS 5640 Type 2 가 있고

Sulfur (S)를 쾌삭 원소로 합금한 AMS 5640 Type 1 로, 구분됩니다.
오스테나이트 스텐레스로 자동 절단기에 사용하기 좋은 절삭성 재질입니다.

다른 오스테나이트인 경우, toughness (인성)이 있어, 절삭의 어려움과 비교해
AMS 5640 절삭과 절단, 가공성이 뛰어난 재질입니다.

AMS 5640 재질은 Screw, Shafts, Valves, Nozzles 용도로 주로 사용됩니다.
AMS 5640 재질은 ASTM B8F, 303Se, MIL-S-7720,

QQ-S-763, QQ-S-764, UNS S30323 재질과 비교 가능한 스텐레스입니다.
고압 환경에서 가스나 액체 상태 환경에서는 사용이 제한됩니다.

※ Machinability (절삭성 : 切削性)
The degree of easiness in cutting working
It is represented by such characteristics as cutting resistance,
life of used tools, degree of cutting finished surface, shape of cutting,
degree of easy treatment, etc.

절삭 가공할 때의 절삭 되기 쉬운 정도. 절삭저항, 사용 공구의 수명,
절삭 끝 손질 면의 정도, 절삭설의 형상과 처리의 난이성 등의
특성을 나타냅니다.

※ Stainless steel
Alloy steels containing chromium 10.5% or more, carbon 1.2%
or less to improve the corrosion resistance.
They are classified into 5 types, which are
martensitic, ferritic, austenitic, austenitic-ferritic and precipitation hardening.

스텐레스강이란 내식성을 향상 시킬 목적으로 Cr 또는 Cr+Ni 을
합금 시킨 합금강으로, 일반적으로는 Cr 함유량이 약 11% 이상 합금된
강을 스텐레스강이라고 하고, 그 조직에 따라 마르텐사이트계
페라이트계, 오스테나이트계, 오스테나이트 + 페라이트계인 이상(Duplex : 二相)계
석출경화계 로, 5가지로 나뉩니다.

※ Corrosion Resisting Steel (내식강)
Steels with at least 10.5% chromium and max. 1.20% carbon
if their resistance to corrosion is of primary importance
