S55C 는 JIS G 4051, KS D 3752 기계 구조용 탄소강 강재로
탄소량 nominal 0.55% 수준의 탄소강 강재로

강판 (Plate) 또는 환봉 (round-bar) 제품으로 사용됩니다.
일반 구조용 강재보다 신뢰성이 요구되는 곳에 사용하며 Killed steel 입니다.

탄소량 0.45~0.65% 수준의 강재는 탄소 공구강 (0.70~1.50%) 보다는
탄소량이 적지만, 최경강 수준의 탄소량으로 강인성과 함께 내마모성이

요구되는 경우 사용하고, SS45C 보다 높은 기계적 성질이 필요한 경우 쓰입니다.
S55C 수준의 탄소강 봉재는 , 축 (shafts), 기어, 레일, 스프링 용도입니다.

S55C, S45C 수준의 탄소강재는 Quenching and Tempering 열처리 하거나
내부 품질과 기계적 성질을 향상 시킬 목적으로 Normalizing (소준) 처리합니다.

보통 사용할 때 단조, 절삭, 인발 등의 가공과 열처리를 시행하여
소기의 성질을 얻어 기계 부품으로 만들어지는 탄소강 강재

※ 열처리 ( Heat Treatment : 熱處理)
철강재의 전체 또는 일부에 열 사이클을 적용하여 그 성질 또는 조직을 변화 시키는
일련의 작업으로, 철강재의 화학 조성은 이러한 작업 과정으로 변할 수 있습니다.

Series of operations in the course of which a solid ferrous product is totally or
or partially exposed to thermal cycles to bring about a change in its
properties and/or structure.
The chemical composition of the ferrous product may possibly be
modified during these operations.

※ Normalizing (불림 :燒準)
Heat treatment consisting of austenitizing followed by air cooling.
The purposes of this operation are to eliminate the influence of pre-working,
to render the crystal grains finder and to improve their mechanical properties.

오스테나이트화 후 공기 중에서 냉각하는 열처리로
노말라이징 열처리의 목적은 강재 생산 앞 공정에서 받은 응력 (Stress)를 풀어주고
결정립을 미세화, 표준화 시켜, 기계적 성질을 향상 시키는 열처리를 말합니다.
