SUS416 은 QT 열처리로 높은 강도가 가능한 마르텐사이트
스텐레스이면서, 높은 황 함량으로, 쾌삭 성능을 지닌 강재입니다.

QT 열처리시, Oil Quenching 950~1000℃, Tempering 700~750℃
rapid cooling 하면, JIS G 4303, KS D 3706 규정상

항복강도 345 MPa minimum 이지만, 570 MPa 수준에 이르기도 합니다.
SUS416 Bar 강재는 QT 열처리 후 Peeling 표면 마무리로

표면 스케일, 흠을 제거한 선삭 (lathe turning) 제품으로도 공급됩니다.
열처리에 의해, 높은 기계적 성질이지만, 오스테나이트계 보다 내식성은 낮습니다.

※ Turned products (Lathe turning : 旋削 : 선삭 제품)
Round bars products by turning on a lathe where the products
can be further processed by straightening and polishing.
This operation gives the bar special features with respect to shape,
dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
The removal of metal is carried out in such a way that the bright
product is generally free from rolling defects and surface decarburization.
For technical reasons some bars ordered as hot rolled products may be
delivered roughly turned(peeled), nevertheless such products are
treated as hot rolled products and not as bright products.

표면 결함을 제거해, 진원도와 직진도 향상, 좋은 표면 조도, 정밀한 치수로 생산한.

※ Free cutting steels (Resulfurized : 쾌삭강)
Steels to which free cutting properties is improved by
individual or combined addition of phosphorus (P), sulfur (S),
lead (Pb), selenium (Se), tellurium (Te), calcium (Ca), etc.

인, 황, 납, 셀레늄, 텔루륨, 칼슘등을 단독 또는 복합으로
첨가하여, 피삭성을 높인 강.

※ Martensitic Stainless Steels (마르텐사이트 스텐레스)
Stainless steels which can be hardened by increasing carbon contents
of ferritic stainless steel and heat treatment to martensitic structure
SUS410 is representative.
담금질함으로서 마르텐자이트 조직으로 되어, 경화 시킬 수가 있는
스텐레스강으로 SUS410 — 13% 크롬강이 대표적입니다.

※ Martensite (마르텐사이트)
체심 정방체 (BCC) 구조를 가지는 준안정 고용체를 말합니다.
이것은 오스테나이트가 확산 기구가 아닌 방법으로 변태 되어 형성됩니다.

Metastable solid solution with a body-centred tetragonal crystal or a
body-centered cubic crystal having the same chemical composition
as that of the original austenite.
It is formed at a temperature of point Ms or lower by the transformation
of austenite without diffusional mechanism.
Martensite is sometimes produced by plastic deformation of austenite.
