STD11 은, KS D 6753 합금공구강 강재 중
주로 냉간 금형 공구강으로 쓰이는 재질입니다.

JIS 로는, JIS G 4404 Alloy Tool Steel SKD 11 입니다.
스테인레스 마르텐사이트계 수준의 높은 크롬 합금으로

QT 열처리에 의해 높은 경도가 가능한 재질입니다.
SUS 420J2 마르텐자이트계 스텐레스보다 높은 탄소 함량 강재입니다.

합금 공구강 STD 11 재질과 스텐레스 SUS 420J2 에서 크롬 합금량은 비슷하지만
탄소량은, STD 11, 1.40~1.60, SUS 420J2, 0.26~0.40% 로, STD 11 이, 훨씬 높습니다.

STD 11 재질은 우수한 내마모성, 높은 경도 — QT 하면 58 HRC minimum.
구상화 어닐링 (spheroidizing annealing) 하면, HBW 255 maximum 입니다.

STD 11 은, gauge, die for thread rolling, cutting tool for metal,
forming roll, die for press 용도로 사용됩니다.

높은 경도와 마모 저항성 및 인성을 필요로 하는 재료를

표면 온도가 200℃ 이하의 분야에 적용되는
비합금 또는 합금 공구강

※ 구상화 어닐링 (球狀化 : Spheroidizing Annealing)
Geometric development of the carbide particles, such as the cementite
platelets, towards a stable spherical form.
Annealing, generally involving prolonged soaking in the region of temperature
Ac1, possibly with oscillations around this temperature, in order to bring about
the spheroidization of the precipitated carbides.

석출된 탄화물의 형태가 구상이 되도록, Ac1 온도 영역에서, 가능하면 그 온도
상하로 변경하면서, 장시간 유지 (균열화) 하여, 구상화 처리가 되게 하는
어닐링 (풀림) 열처리를 말합니다.

구상화 어닐링을 하는 이유는 강도, 경도는 조금 낮아지지만 인성을 증가 시키고,
강인성 증가, 가공 성질을 좋게 하며, 담금질에 의한 균열 방지 효과가 있기 때문입니다.
주로, 공구강, 베어링강과 같은 고탄소강에서 구상화 열처리를 합니다.
