FC250 은 JIS, GC250 은 KS 규격의 주철품입니다.
절단면이 회색 (gray : 灰色)d이라서 회주철 (Gray Iron Castings) 입니다.

FC250 재질이 주조 (casting) 하기에 좋고, 연하며
기계 가공성 (machinability)이 좋아, 정밀한 외경 가공이 가능합니다.

FC250 주철의 조직은 공정흑연 (eutectic graphite : 共晶黑鉛)과
페라이트 (ferritic) 조직의 회주철로 인장강도 250 MPa, minimum 입니다.

주철품은 가공, 담금질, 단조가 안되고, 취성 (brittlement)이 크고, 소성 변형이
어려워, 기계적 성질로 인장강도와 경도 값만 제시되고 있습니다.

FC250 은, 기계 구조물의 몸체, 기계의 베드판과 프레임, 일반 기계 부품,
Piston, Rod, Gear, Pulley, Sheave, Bearing, Shaft, Bushing 용도입니다.

※ 주철 (Cast Iron, 鑄鐵)
Material, whose main components are iron and carbon, generally over
about 2% of carbon and other components are contained.

주요 성분이 탄소와 철이고, 일반적으로 탄소량이 2% 수준을 넘으며
다른 원소들도 있습니다.

※ 강 (Steel : 鋼)
Material, whose main component is iron and , generally about
2% or under of carbon and other components are contained.

주요 성분이 철이고, 일반적으로 탄소량이 2% 이하입니다.

※ Mechanical properties (기계적 성질 : 機械的性質)
Various properties relating to mechanical deformation and
breaking such as tensile strength, yield point or proof strength,
elongation, reduction of area, hardness, impact value,
fatigue strength, creep strength, etc.

인장강도, 항복점, 연신율, 단면 수축율, 경도, 충격치, 피로 강도,
크리프 강도 등 기계적인 변형 및 파괴에 관계되는 성질을 말합니다.

※ Brittleness (취성 : 脆性)
The property of little deformability, hard and brittle in general.
It is usually compared by the strength of impact or
the surface conditions of fracture.
일반적으로 단단하고 취성 (脆性)이며, 변형 등이 적은 성질.
보통, 충격 시험에서, 충격치의 대소 또는 파면의 상황에
따라 비교합니다.

인성 (Toughness)와 반대되는 개념으로 외부의 힘에 물체가
소성 변형 (Plastic deformation)을 거의 보이지 않고,
파괴되는 현상을 말합니다.
