EN, KS, JIS 규격에서는 Spheroidal Graphite Iron,
미국 ASTM 규격에서는 Ductile Iron Casting,

또 다른 영어로 Nodular Graphite Cast Iron 으로도 부르는
구상 흑연주철 또는 연성(ductile) 이라고 부르는 EN 규격

GJS 500-7, GCD 500, FCD 500 재질은 서로 비교 가능합니다.
인장강도 500 MPa minimum 강도를 가지는 재질입니다.

강도만 보면 ASTM A36, JIS SS400, KS SS275, EN S275JR 수준입니다.
구상흑연주철은 흑연을 구상화 시켜 균열 발생을 어렵게 하고

주철의 취성을 줄이고, 연성을 향상 시키면서 주철의 특징인
내마모성 (내마멸성)과 기계적 성질을 향상 시킨 철입니다.

※ 주철 (Cast Iron, 鑄鐵)
Material, whose main components are iron and carbon, generally over
about 2% of carbon and other components are contained.

주요 성분이 탄소와 철이고, 일반적으로 탄소량이 2% 수준을 넘으며
다른 원소들도 있습니다.

※ Cast Steel
A cast alloy or iron, silicon and carbon with approx. 2.1~4.0 wt% carbon.
In this group of materials the carbon is segregated as graphite and
shows a grey coloration of the fracture surface.
Due to this fact cast steel with graphite is often named grey iron casting.
Besides some special materials there are tow main groups, which are
cast iron with lamellar graphite and spheroid cast iron.

※ 구상흑연 (Spheroidal graphite, Nodular graphite : 球狀黑鉛)
Graphite in a dense spheroidal stage generated in spheroidal graphite cast
iron manufactured when it is treated with magnesium or the like.

마그네슘 등으로 흑연량을 줄이고, 흑연 모양을 둥근 공 형태로 만든 주철입니다.
흑연이 구상화 되면 기계적 성질이 향상되고, 내마모성이 증가합니다.

※ Mechanical properties (기계적 성질 : 機械的性質)
Various properties relating to mechanical deformation and
breaking such as tensile strength, yield point or proof strength,
elongation, reduction of area, hardness, impact value,
fatigue strength, creep strength, etc.

인장강도, 항복점, 연신율, 단면 수축율, 경도, 충격치, 피로 강도,
크리프 강도 등 기계적인 변형 및 파괴에 관계되는 성질을 말합니다.
