ASTM A311 규정에 Class A — normal drafting
Class B — higher than normal drafting — high strength 강재로 나뉘고

ASTM A311 Class B 재질 4종류 중 Grade 1144 와 1141 재질이 있고
Gr.1144, Gr.1141 강도는 같지만 Gr.1144 강재가 Gr.1141 강재보다

높은 Sulfur (황 : S) 함량으로 높은 쾌삭성 강재입니다.
ASTM A311 Grade 1144 Class B (ASTM A311 Gr.1144 Cl.B) 강재는

항복강도 690MPa (100 ksi), 인장강도 795 MPa minimum 의 고강도 강재로 이와 같은
기계적 성질은 Heavy Draft Cold Drawn and Stress Relieved Annealed 방법인

심가공 인발과 응력 풀림 열처리에 의해 형성됩니다.
A311 Gr.1144 Cl.B 재질은 Caterpillar INC Spec CF 1144

EN 10087 44SMn28, 1.0762, 재질과 비교 가능합니다.
A311 Gr. 1144 Cl.B 재질의 특징으로는 냉간 인발에 따른 높은 표면 마무리,

표면 경화 처리 없이 내마모성, 내응력, 내피로성,QT 열처리 가능하지만
냉간 인발과 응력 풀림 열처리에 의한 높은 강도, 우수한 기계가공성능입니다.

A311 Gr. 1144 Cl.B 용도로는 Bolts and Nuts, Shafts, Gears, Sleeves,
Lead Screws, Pins, Bushings, Boring Bars 용도이고, 환봉. HEX 제품입니다.

소재를 잡아 당겨, 다이를 통과시키면서 단면적이나 크기를
줄여 나가거나, 금속을 경화 시키기도 하는 방법

※ Stress Relieving(old name : stress relief annealing : 응력 제거 어닐링 (풀림)
Every piece of steel has an amount of internal stress caused
by steel production, machining, surface finish, heat treatment
and other processes.
During a heat treatment process the yield strength is reduced
to a lower level. If precision parts or complicated tools with
close tolerances, this deformation could cause problems.
In the case after rough machining and stress relieving is done
with a high degree of machining allowance.
After this process the internal stress is reduced by the parts deforming.
The standard process is slow heating up to 550~650℃, holding for
minimum 2 hours and finishing with a slow cooling in the furnace.

모든 철강재는 생산, 가공, 표면 마무리, 열처리와 기타 공정 진행에서
내부 응력이 어느 정도 쌓일 수 밖에 없고, 이런 내부 응력을 해소 시키려고
적당한 온도로 가열하고 균열화한 후, 적절한 온도로 냉각함으로써
실질적인 조직의 변화 없이 내부 응력을 줄이고자 시행하는 열처리를 말합니다.
