AISI 8640 은 Nickel, Chromium, Molybdenum 합금강재로
Normalizing, Quenching and Tempering 열처리에 의해

수요자가 원하는 기계적 성질을 얻을 수 있는 강재입니다.
AISI 8640 은 저합금강재로 표면경화로 내마모성과 함께

높은 인성 (toughness)을 가지며, 자동차, military 산업용으로 사용됩니다.
AISI 8640 은, JIS G 4053 SNCM240 재질과 비교 가능합니다.

AISI 8640 강재는 열간 압연 후 인발, 단조, 절삭 등의 공정과
열처리, 냉간 인발 등의 조건에 따라 기계적 성질은 다릅니다.

AISI 86×× 으로 표시되는 AISI 8620, AISI 8630, AISI 8640, AISI 8650
강재의 경우 nominal Ni : 55%, Cr : 0.55%, Mo : 0.20% 수준의 합금량입니다.

AISI 8640 재질은 ASTM A32, A331, A505, A519,
MIL-S-16974, SAE J404 재질과 비교 가능합니다.

※ Mechanical properties (기계적 성질 : 機械的性質)
Various properties relating to mechanical deformation and
breaking such as tensile strength, yield point or proof strength,
elongation, reduction of area, hardness, impact value,
fatigue strength, creep strength, etc.

인장강도, 항복점, 연신율, 단면 수축율, 경도, 충격치, 피로 강도,
크리프 강도 등 기계적인 변형 및 파괴에 관계되는 성질을 말합니다.

※ Toughness (인성 : 靭性)
The degree of difficulty in occurring impact breaking
because of the material’s toughness .
질기고 세며, 충격 파괴를 일으키기 어려운지, 어떤지의 정도.

※ Case hardening steel (표면경화강: 表面硬化鋼)
Low carbon steels and low carbon alloy steels of machine structural use
whose surfaces are hardened mainly by carburization hardening…….…JIS
Steels with a relatively low carbon content, which are intented for
carburising or carbonitriding and subsequent hardening.
Such steels, after treatment, are characterised by a high hardness
surface layer and a tough ……DIN-EN.

저탄소강 및 저탄소합금강으로, 주로 침탄 퀜칭에 의해 표면경화 시킨 강
표면의 내마모성과 내피로성을 높이지만, 강재 내부의 인성을 유지 시킨 강재.
표면경화 방법으로는 침탄 (Carburizing), 질화 (Nitriding), 침붕 (Boriding)이 있고
각각 탄소, 질소, 붕소를 강재 표면에 침투 시켜 경화 시키는 방법입니다.
