C1020 은 Carbon steel 이라서 C1020 으로 씁니다.
ASTM A830 에서는 Grade 1020 입니다.

ASTM A830 은 화학 원소만 나타내는 구조용 (Structural)으로 사용하는
탄소강 (carbon steel) Plate 에 대한 48 grade 중 1가지입니다.

C1020 의 탄소량은 nominal 0.20% 수준으로, KS, JIS의
기계 구조용 탄소강 SM20C, S20C 와 비교 가능한 재질입니다.

C1020 은 Killed Steel 로만 제조 되는 특징이 있으며 As rolled (hot rolled)
상태에서 항복강도 330MPa, 인장강도 448 MPa 수준의 강도입니다.

A830 Grade 1020 재질은 기계적 성질에 대한 규정이 없고 화학 원소만
규정된 강재로, Hardness 는 143 HB, 연신율 (elongation) 36% 수준입니다.

※ Steel for structure (구조용강 : 構造用鋼)

건축, 교량, 선박, 차량, 기타의 구조물용으로서 강도 및 필요에 따라
용접성을 중시하여 제조 된 강재를 말합니다.

※ Elongation (연신율 : 延伸率)
The extension of metal in length when it is pulled from both sides.
It is a common mechanical parameter for metallic materials, which
is expressed as percentage of the original length. It is determined
by the tensile test, Generally, an increase in elongation leads an
increase of ductility.

금속 재료의 기계적 성질을 나타내는 지표 중 하나로, 시험편을
양쪽에서 잡아당겨, 원래 표점거리간 길이와 늘어난 길이를
백분율로 표시하며, 연신율 증가는 연성의 증가로 봅니다.

※ Mechanical properties (기계적 성질 : 機械的性質)
Various properties relating to mechanical deformation and
breaking such as tensile strength, yield point or proof strength,
elongation, reduction of area, hardness, impact value,
fatigue strength, creep strength, etc.

인장강도, 항복점, 연신율, 단면 수축율, 경도, 충격치, 피로 강도,
크리프 강도 등 기계적인 변형 및 파괴에 관계되는 성질을 말합니다.
