1.5714, 16NiCr14 는 표면경화용 강재입니다.
Nickel, Chromium 저합금, 저탄소 강재입니다.

1.5714 강재는 injector, connectors, inserts, machined metal parts,
adapters, shafts, gears, tie rods and screws 용도로 쓰입니다.

EN 10084 규정의 1.5714, 16NiCr4 재질은 Hot Rolled 강재입니다.
EN 10277-4, 1.5715, 16NiCrS4 재질은 Bright Steel 규정으로

BS 637M17 재질과 비교 가능하고, KS, JIS 는 비교 가능한 재질이 없습니다.
단조, 침탄, 심부 경화, 표면담금질, 뜨임 열처리 (tempering) 가능한 강재입니다

※ Case hardening steel (표면경화강: 表面硬化鋼)

Steels with a relatively low carbon content, which are intented for
carburising or carbonitriding and subsequent hardening.
Such steels, after treatment, are characterised by a high hardness

저탄소강 및 저탄소 합금강으로, 주로 침탄 퀜칭에 의해 표면경화 시킨 강
표면의 내마모성과 내피로성을 높이지만, 강재 내부의 인성을 유지 시킨 강재.
표면경화 방법으로는 침탄 (Carburizing), 질화 (Nitriding), 침붕 (Boriding)이 있고
각각 탄소, 질소, 붕소를 강재 표면에 침투 시켜 경화 시키는 방법입니다.

강재를 냉간 인발, 연삭, 절삭, 센터리스 또는 이들의 조합으로
마무리한 봉강으로, 봉강뿐 아니라, 원형, 정방형,
육각형, 장방형 및 이형 등이 있습니다.

※ Peeled Bar
특수강, 스테인레스 압연 봉강의 표면을 연속, 선삭 가공으로
강재 표면의 스케일, 미세 결함을 제거해, 보다 정밀한 치수와
진원도를 향상 시킨 고품질의 표면 무결점 봉강을 말합니다.
우수한 표면 조도를 가지며, 추가적인 교정 가공 없이 사용 가능합니다.

JIS에서는 마봉강 (麻棒鋼)이라고 하고, DIN-EN은 Bright Bar 라고 하며
Bright Bar에는 Drawn, Ground, Turned products 를 포함하며
Peeled Bar 는 Turned Bar 에 포함됩니다.

※ Delivery Conditions

+S : treated to improve shearability
+A : soft annealed
+TH : treated to hardness range
+FP : treated to ferrite-pearlite structure and hardness range
