AMS 4965 규정은 Bar, Block, Wire, Rings, Forgings 제품 형상의
6Al4V Solution Heat Treated and Aged (STA) 열처리 된 티타늄 합금입니다.

AMS 4965 Bar 제품 size는 4″ (101.60 mm) 외경까지이고,
6Al4V 재질의 modified 재질이고, 제트엔진, 항공기용 부품, 자동차용 부품,

compressor blades and discs, pressure vessels, helicopter rotor hubs 쓰이며
높은 내식성으로 의료용, 해수 관련 장비, 화학 산업 용도입니다.

높은 비강도 (light weight and high strength) 티타늄 합금으로
비중 4.47 g/㎤ 으로, 철 비중 7.85 대비, 56.9% 수준이지만

Solution Heat Treated and Aged (STA) 열처리로 높은 강도가 가능해
항복강도 120~155 MPa (828~1070 MPa) 입니다. — 외경에 따라 다름.

AMS 4965 재질 공급에 AMS-STD-2154 Class A Spec 따르는 경우도 있으며
이는 Wrought Metal 제품에 대한 Ultrasonic Test 검사 조건을 말합니다.

AMS 4965 재질은 AMS 6930 — 6Al4V STA — Forgings
ASTM B348 R56400, MIL-T-9047 재질과 비교 가능합니다.

※ Solution treatment (용체화 처리, 고용화 처리)
Heat treatment intended for dissolve previously precipitated
constituents and retain them in solution.

이전에 이미 석출된 성분들을 재용해 되어 완전히 분해되
조직 내에 고용되어 다시 석출 되지 않게 하는 열처리.

※ Aging (시효: 時效)
Spontaneous changes in the physical properties (for example,
increase in tensile strength and hardness) of some metals,
final cold working or after a final heat treatment.
Frequently synonymous with the term “Age-Hardening”

※ Ultrasonic Test(초음파 탐상시험)
Nondestructive testing to examine inner defects and material
quality of test body by utilizing acoustic property when
ultrasonic wave has transmitted the test body.

초음파를 시험체 중에 전달했을 때, 시험체에 나타나는
음향적 성질을 이용해, 시험체 내부의 결함이나 재질 등을
조사하는 비파괴 시험입니다.
