Aluminum 2024 재질은 높은 강도로 aircrafts 용도로 쓰이는 경우가 많습니다.
열처리와 냉간 가공으로 높은 강도가 가능하고, 좋은 기계 가공성입니다.

하지만 Aluminum 2024 재질은 내식성이 떨어지는 재질이고
내식성이 떨어지는 것을 고순도 알루미늄을 Clad 하거나,

Anodizing 으로 내식성을 보완하고, Clad 된 Aluminum 2024 를
Grade Alloy Alclad 2024 라고 합니다.

Alclad 2024 Temper O, 항복강도 205 MPa maximum. Alloy 1100-0 : 25 MPa min,
Alloy 3003-O : 35 MPa min 과 비교하면 상대적으로 높은 강도입니다.

B209 Alclad 2024-O 재질은 fuselage skins, aircrafts fittings 쓰이고
AMS-QQ-A250/5 재질, AMS 4461 재질에 대응됩니다.

※ Temper
The term “temper” means the division of mechanical properties
individually formed by various processing and heat treatment
conditions in the manufacturing process.
금속 또는 합금에 요구되는 특정한 물리적 성질 또는 기계적 성질을
부여하는 공정(예를 들면 기계적 처리 및 열처리) 후의 상태를 말합니다.

※ Temper O
Annealed, Recrystallized — Applies to the softest temper of wrought products.
어닐링 (풀림 열처리)한 것으로 전신재에 대해 가장 부드러운 상태를 얻은 상태입니다.

※ Clad (클래드)
어떤 금속을 다른 금속에서 전체 면에 걸쳐 피복 하고, 또한 그 경계 면이
금속 조직적으로 접합 되어 있는 것을 말하고 특히 금속 클래드라고 합니다.
다만 도금은 제외합니다.

A composed metal whose metal covered with another metal throughout
its surface with their boundary surfaces bonded together metallurgically.
Also called “metal clad” This does not involve metallic plating.
