AMS 6345 강재는 Chrome-Molybdenum 합금강재입니다.
AMS 6345, SAE 4130 으로도 불리는 Plate, Sheet, Strip 형상 제품입니다.

AMS 6345 강재는 MIL-S-18729 규정과 대응되며, Aircraft Quality Steel 입니다.
Chromium 과 Molybdenum 합금 강재는 냉간, 열간 압연 모두 공급되고

Aircraft Quality Steel (AQ Steel) 인 경우는 AMS 2301 규정의
Magnetic Particle Inspection (자분 탐상 시험) 이 따르는

강자성체 (ferromagnetic) — 자석을 가까이 하면 끌려 드는 성질의 금속에
대한 비파괴 시험 중 한 가지인, 자분 탐상 시험 조건이 있는 금속을 말합니다.

AMS 6345 강재는 AMS 2301 규정 뿐 아니라, AMS 2252 규정인
Sheet, Strip and Plate 제품에 대한 공차 규정을 따라야 하는 강재입니다.

박판인 경우는 Normalizing, Annealing 열처리 하지만
0.250″ 이상의 후판인 경우는 QT 열처리도 가능한 강재입니다.

AMS 6345 강재는 탄소량 0.28~0.33%에 Chromium 0.95%, Molybdenum 0.20%
합금으로, Cr-Mo 합금은 QT 열처리 성능이 좋은 합금강재입니다.

※ Magnetic Particle Testing (자분 탐상 시험)
철강 재료 등, 강자성체를 자화 시켜, 결함부에 생긴 자극 (磁極)에 의한 자분의
부착을 이용하여 결함을 검출하는 비파괴 시험을 말합니다.

Nondestructive test method in which ferromagnetic material such as iron
and steel is magnetized and sticking of magnetic particles to magnetic poles
generated in defect portions in utilized to detect defects.

※ Normalizing (불림 :燒準)
Heat treatment consisting of austenitizing followed by air cooling.
The purposes of this operation are to eliminate the influence of pre-working,
to render the crystal grains finder and to improve their mechanical properties.

오스테나이트화 후 공기 중에서 냉각하는 열처리로
노말라이징 열처리의 목적은 강재 생산 앞 공정에서 받은 응력 (Stress)를 풀어주고
결정립을 미세화, 표준화 시켜, 기계적 성질을 향상 시키는 열처리를 말합니다.
