SFNCM880 강재는 니켈-크롬-몰리브덴 (NiCrMo) 합금강재입니다.
합금강재이면서 단조강이라서 – Steel Forging (SF) 약자만 따서 SFNCM 강입니다.

KS D 4114, JIS G 3222 규정 재질로, 크게 9 종류로 나뉘고
Rod, Ring, Disc 형상에 따라 Symbol 과, 기계적 성질이 구분됩니다.

SFNCM 강재는 강도로는 여러가지이지만, 화학 성분 규정은 1가지입니다.
화학 성분 규정을 1가지로 하고, QT 열처리 이외는 수요자 공급자가 협의하고

Quenching and Tempering 하는 경우
Tempering 온도를 550℃ 이상으로 규정했습니다.

SFNCM880 강재의 경우는 숫자 “880”이, 최소 인장강로 값을 말하고
SFNCM×××의, “×××” 는 인장강도를 나타내, 강재 강도를 바로 알 수 있게 한, 규정입니다.

※ Mechanical properties (기계적 성질 : 機械的性質)
Various properties relating to mechanical deformation and
breaking such as tensile strength, yield point or proof strength,
elongation, reduction of area, hardness, impact value,
fatigue strength, creep strength, etc.

인장강도, 항복점, 연신율, 단면 수축율, 경도, 충격치, 피로 강도,
크리프 강도 등 기계적인 변형 및 파괴에 관계되는 성질을 말합니다.

※ Tempering (뜨임 열처리)
Heat treatment applied to a ferrous product, generally after quench hardening,
or another heat treatment to bring the properties to the required level, and
consisting of heating to specific temperature (＜Ac1 )and soaking one or
more time, followed by cooling at an appropriate rate.
Tempering generally leads to a reduction in hardness
but can, in certain cases, cause an increase in hardness.

철강재를 퀜칭 경화 후, 또는 특정 수준의 성질을 얻기 위하여 (＜Ac1 ) 온도
이하의 특정 온도로 가열한 후 한두 번 균열화한 다음, 적당한 속도로
냉각하는 별도의 열처리로, 보통 템퍼링은 경도를 감소 시키지만,
어떤 경우에는 도리어 경도가 증가할 수도 있습니다.
