ASTM B622 규정은 Nickel 합금과 니켈 코발트 합금 재료이면서
제품 형태가 Sealmess 파이프와 튜브에 관한 규정입니다.

ASTM B622 규정 재질 중 UNS N06455 Nickel Alloy 는
trademark of Haynes International 회사의 Hastelloy®C-4 에 대응됩니다.

ASTM B622 규정에서 Low-Carbon (저탄소) 니켈 합금 중 비교적 자주 사용하는
3종류 중,  N06455/Hastelloy®C-4 재질이 있고, 3재질 모두 인장강도 최소 값이 같습니다.

N06455/Hastelloy®C-4 재질의 튜브와 파이프 재질은 650~1040℃
고온에서도 연성이 좋고, 우수한 내식성 금속입니다.

전면 부식 (uniformed corrosion) 면에서는 N06455/Hastelloy®C-4 재질이나
N10276/Hastelloy®C-276 금속과 차이가 없는 수준입니다.

N06455/Hastelloy®C-4, SMLS Tube and Pipe 는 ASTM B622 규정이지만
Welded SMLS Tube and Pipe 는 ASTM B619, B629 규정에 있습니다.

※ Ductility (연성 : 延性)
The property of metals that enables them to be mechanically deformed
when cold, without fracture. In steel, ductility is usually measured by
elongation and reduction area is determined in a tensile test.

금속에 인장력을 줘 소성 변형을 일으켰을 때, 끊어짐이 없이 선 (line)상으로
늘릴 수 있는 성질을 연성이라고 하고, 연성은 인장시험에서
연신율 (Elongation), 단면 수축율 (Reduction area; RA)로 측정합니다.
물질이 파괴되지 않고 유연하게 변할 수 있는 능력입니다.
쉽게 말해 물질이 파괴되지 않고 유연하게 변형할 수 있는 능력입니다.

※ SMLS (Seamless : 無繼目鋼管 : 무계목강관)
Steel tubes without a seam, manufactured by hot-rolling, extrusion
or punching from ingot or semi-product, or machining after piercing.
Cold drawn or cold rolled seamless steel tube is called finished
seamless steel tubes.

강괴 또는 강편으로부터 열간 압연, 압출, 밀어 빼기(압출)로
제조 되든가 또는 천공한 다음 기계 마무리로서 제조 된
이음매가 없는 강관. 다만, 이음매 없는 강관을 원소재로, 냉간
인발 한 것을, 냉간 마무리 이음매 없는 강관이라고 합니다.
