ASME SA543, ASTM A543 Type C, Class 1 은, 압력용기용 (pressure vessel)
Nickel, Chromium, Molybdenum 합금강판으로 QT 열처리 강재입니다.

SA543 Type C (or Grade C) Class 1 합금강판은 용접하는 압력용기에
사용되고, 건축용 (construction) 강판은 두께가 2″ (50 mm) 이상의 후판입니다.

SA543-Type C-Class 1 은, NAVSEA T9074-BD-GIB-010/0300 규정의 HY-80 Type 2 에
대응되며, NAVSEA T9074 규정은 HY-80, HY-100, HSLA-80, HSLA-100 재질의

강판과 단조품, 주조품, 형강, Bars, and Heads 제품을 규정합니다.
NAVSEA 는 Naval Sea Systems Command 로, 미국 해군 관련 기구입니다.

ASTM A543 Type C, Class 1 은 ABS (American Bureau of Shipping)
미국 선급 협회 인증을 받고 사용하는 경우가 많습니다,

또한 A543-C-1 재질은 MIL-S-16216, Military 규정, 고항복점 구조용
합금 강판 규정을 따르는, 여러가지의 Spec 이 중복 지정되는 재질입니다.

A543-C-1 강판과 대응되는 HY-80 Type 2 재질에서 Type 2 는 비파괴 시험인
UT 검사를 하는 강판이고, Type 1 은 UT 검사가 없습니다.

A543-C-1, HY-80 Type 2 강판의 Chromium, Nickel, Molybdenum 원소는
강재의 Quenching and Tempering 성능을 높이는 원소입니다.

and other structure uses, which require high strength,
if required weldability as well.

건축, 교량, 선박, 차량, 기타의 구조물용으로서 강도 및 필요에 따라
용접성을 중시하여 제조 된 강재를 말합니다.

※ Non-destructive testing (NDT : 비파괴 시험 : 非破壞試驗)
Testing to examine existence of flaws, their existing positions, sizes,
forms, distribution of them without destruction materials and products.
This is at times applied to evaluate metallurgical properties.
There are radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing,
liquid penetrant testing, eddy current testing.

소재나 제품을 파괴하지 않고, 결함의 유무, 존재 위치, 크기, 모양,
분포 상태 등을 조사하는 비파괴 시험.
강질 시험 등에 응용되는 수도 있다.
방사선 투과시험, 초음파 탐상 시험, 자분 탐상 시험, 침투 탐상 시험,
와류 탐상 시험 등이 있습니다.
