JIS G 3106 규정은 용접 구조용 압연 강재에 대한 규정이고
JIS G 3106 규정의 11 개 강종 중 SM490A 재질이 있습니다.

JIS G 3106 SM490A 재질은 고장력강으로 인장강도 490~610 MPa,
항복강도 325 MPa minimum 으로, KS 개정전 SM490A 와 대응 됐었지만

KS 용접 구조용 압연 강재 개정 후 SM355A 강재보다는 항복강도 최소 값에서
JIS SM490A 재질이 미치지 못하고, SM355A 대비, CVN 이, 없는 차이가 있습니다.

※ Charpy V-Notch Impact Test (CVN : 샤르피 충격 시험)
Test to measure the absorbed energy, impact value, percentage
of brittle/ductile fracture, transition temperature, etc. with using
charpy impact testing machine in which test piece is supported by
two supports distant by 40 mm so that the notch meets the middle
between supports and is broken by striking with one blow of
pendulum to the face opposite the notch.

샤르피 충격 시험기를 사용하여 시험편을 40 mm 간격이 있는 두 개의
지지대에 올려 놓고, 또한 노치부를 지지대 사이의 중앙에 놓고
노치부의 뒷면을 해머로 1회만 충격을 주어, 시험편을 파단 시키고
흡수 에너지, 충격치, 파면율, 천이 온도 등을 측정하는 시험.

※ High Tensile Strength Steel (고장력강 : 高張力鋼 : 하이텐강)
Steel products manufactured for building, bridges, ships, vehicles,
automobiles, other structural use and pressure vessel use which
require weldability, notch toughness, workability, and
tensile strength of 490 N/㎟ min. in general.
In cold rolled steel sheets, those of 340 N/㎟ min. in tensile
strength are called high tensile strength steels.

건축, 교량, 선박, 차량, 기타의 구조물 및 압력 용기용으로서,
보통 인장강도 50 kgf/㎟ (490 N/㎟) 이상의 용접성, 노치 인성 및
가공성도 중시해서 제조 된 강재라고 합니다.
자동차용 냉연 강판에서는 인장강도 35 kgf/㎟ (340 N/㎟)
이상을 고장력강이라고 합니다.
