LR 은 Lloyed’s Register of Shipping 영국 선급 협회를 말하고
DH36 은 항복강도 36 kgf/㎟ (355 MPa) minimum 의, 선체구조용

탄소강판으로, 배를 만들 때 사용하는 선급용 강재 규격을 말합니다.
DH36 강재의 인장강도는 490~620 MPa 로, 인장강도 490 MPa 이상의

강도를 가지는 강재를 고장력강이라고 합니다.
강도로만, LR DH36 강재를 다른 탄소강재와 비교하면

KS SM355, JIS SM490YA, SM490YB, EN S355, ASTM A572-50 급 입니다.
선급용 강재이기에 검사 증명서에 EN 10204 Type 3.1, 3자 인증 조건이고

LR DH36 으로 지정되면, 3자를 LR로 지정하는 경우를 말합니다.
LR DH36 강재의 특징은 -20℃에서 50 joule minimum CVN Test 입니다.

※ High Tensile Strength Steel (고장력강 : 高張力鋼 : 하이텐강)
Steel products manufactured for building, bridges, ships, vehicles,
automobiles, other structural use and pressure vessel use which
require weldability, notch toughness, workability, and
tensile strength of 490 N/㎟ min. in general.
In cold rolled steel sheets, those of 340 N/㎟ min. in tensile
strength are called high tensile strength steels.

건축, 교량, 선박, 차량, 기타의 구조물 및 압력용기용으로서,
보통 인장강도 50kgf/㎟ (490N/㎟) 이상의 용접성, 노치 인성 및
가공성도 중시해서 제조 된 강재라고 합니다.
자동차용 냉연 강판에서는 인장강도 35kgf/㎟  (340 N/㎟)
이상을 고장력강이라고 합니다.

Generally speaking carbon steels contain up to 2% total alloying
elements, and can be subdivided into as following categories
Low-carbon steels (저탄소강), which contain up to 0.30% Carbon
Medium-carbon steels (중탄소강), which contain 0.30% to 0.60% Carbon
High-carbon steels (고탄소강), which contain 0.60% to 1.00% Carbon
