CW509L 재질은 60% Copper, 40% Zinc 합금으로 6 : 4 황동입니다.
7 : 3 황동보다 전연성이 낮고, 강도는 높고, Lead Free 황동입니다.

Muntz Metal 이라고도 부르고, 영국 규격으로는 CZ109, ASTM C28000,
ISO CuZn40, JIS C2800, C2801 과 대응되는 판, 봉, 튜브 형상 제품 규격입니다.

황동으로는 아연 합금량이 가장 많은 재질로, 탈아연 부식이 있을 수 있고
내식성은 조금 떨어지지만, 좋은 연성과 열간 가공성이 아주 좋은 동합금입니다.

CW509L 재질은 열간 가공성은 좋지만, 냉간 가공은 피해야 하는 재질이고
panel sheets, structural, condenser and heat exchanger tube-plates 용도입니다.

※ 전연성(展延性 : punch stretch-ability : stretch formability)
Capability of material to be formed into defined form and dimensions
by expanding and bulging a part of plane sheet or formed products.

평판 또는 이미 성형 된 제품의 일부를 늘리든가 (부풀게 하든가) 튀어
나오게 하여 소정의 형상 치수로 성형할 수 있는 정도를 말합니다.

※ 탈아연부식 (Dezincification : 脫亞鉛腐蝕)
Dezincification selectively removes zinc from the alloy,
leaving behind a porous, copper-rich structure that
has little mechanical strength — NACE.

황동이나 금속에서 부식성 물질에 의해, 금속의 표면 또는
내부까지 탈 아연 되면서, 탈아연 금속은 다공질화 되어
(인간의 골다공증처럼) 강도를 상실케 되는 현상을 말합니다.
