Steel Number 1.4021 재질은 열처리에 의해 경화 시킬 수 있는
고강도 마르텐자이트 스텐레스로 Steel Designation X20Cr13 입니다.

13% Chromium (13Cr) 합금 재질로, 탄소강과는 비교가 안되는 내식성과
기계적 성질에서도, 열처리 된 탄소강재 수준의 높은 강도를 가집니다.

1.4021 +QT800 로 표기되는 경우 Quenching and Tempering 열처리 후
인장강도 800~950 MPa 강도를 의미하는 약호로, 1.4021 +QT800 스텐은

탄소강 보다는 높은 내식성으로, 대기 환경과 염화물이 없는 유기산 (organic acids : 有機酸),
솔벤트, 비누, 공격적이지 않은 부식 물질에는 내식성 강재입니다.

1.4021 +QT800 열처리 스텐은 기계 구조용도 (mechanical engineering)
석유 산업, 높은 연마성 (polishability)으로 주방 기구, 유압 장비 용도로 쓰입니다.

1.4021 +QT800 재질인 경우 인장강도 800~950 MPa 이지만, 가공 경화 된
Wire, Annealed Condition 2D 에서는 외경에 따라, 950~1100 MPa 입니다.

※ Chromium (Cr : 크롬)
When used as an alloying element, chromium increases the hardenability of steel
and in association with high carbon gives resistance to wear and abrasion.
Chromium has an important effect on corrosion resistance and is present
in stainless steels in amounts of 11.5-20%.

크롬은 강에 합금 원소로 사용되며, 크롬량이 증가하면 경화성이 높아지고
고탄소강에는 내마모 성질을 부여합니다. 크롬은 스텐레스강에서 가장
중요한 원소로 11.5~20% 수준 합금 되어, 내식 성질을 부여합니다.

※ Martensite (마르텐자이트)
체심 정방체 (BCC) 구조를 가지는 준안정 고용체를 말합니다.
이것은 오스테나이트가 확산 기구가 아닌 방법으로 변태 되어 형성됩니다.
마르텐자이트는 담금질 강재의 구조입니다.

as that of the original austenite.
It is formed at a temperature of point Ms or lower by the transformation
of austenite without diffusional mechanism.
