AMS 6488 규정 강재는 심경화는 가능한 재질로
50 HRc 이상 높은 경도의 저합금 공구강 강재입니다.

5.0Cr-1.3Mo 합금에 탄소량 0.38~0.43%로, ASTM A681 H11 에 대응됩니다.
AMS 6488 강재는 -73℃ ~ 538℃ 수준에서, 열적 안정성과 연성과 강도,

내피로성 특징으로, EN 1.2343, KS STD6, JIS SKD6 재질과도 대응됩니다.
AMS 6488 은, 5% 수준의 크롬 합금과 주요 공구강에 합금 원소로 사용되는

바나듐 합금으로, 높은 열처리성과 크리프 강도, 파괴 강도로, 주로 열간 금형용으로
사용돼, 알루미늄 압출 금형, 단조 금형, 다이케스팅용, 항공기 구조 부품용 입니다.

※ Creep resistance (내크리프성)
a property of resistance against a phenomenon in which
strain in the lapse of time under a fixed stress at a high
temperature called high temperature creep.

고온의 일정한 압력을 받는 환경에서 물질의 변형이
시간이 경과함에 따라 증가하는 현상을 고온 크립이라고 하고
이에 견디는 성질을 말합니다.

※ Vanadium (V) – increases shock resistance, strength, and hardness.
Retards grain growth even after exposure to high temperatures.
바나듐 원소는 경도와 강도, 충격 저항성을 높이고,
고온에서 결정립의 성장을 지연 시키는 원소입니다.

※ Tool steel (공구강, 工具鋼)
A generic term of steels used various jigs and tools the cutting and
plastic working for metal or nonmetal.
There are a large number of types, because they have many uses and
various required performance. They are, as a rule, classified into carbon
tool steels, alloy tool steels, and high speed tool steels by chemical
composition and performance.

금속, 또는 비금속의 절삭, 소성 가공용 등의 각종 지그 (jig), 공구로 쓰이는
강철의 총칭. 용도가 넓고 요구 성능이 다방면에 걸치므로 종류가 많습니다.
