UPE100 강재는 찬넬의 프렌지 (날개)가 Taper (경사) 또는 slope 지지 않고
평평한 형상을 가지는 channel with parallel flanges (평형 찬넬)입니다.

KS, JIS size 찬넬은 프렌지가 I-Beam 처럼 Taper 형상이지만
UPE100 찬넬의 프렌지는 H-Beam 처럼, 평평해, 프렌지 2개가 평행합니다.

EN UPE100 처럼 평형 찬넬이 영국 규격 BS PFC — british parallel
flange channels 가 있고, 같은 평형 찬넬이지만, size 가 다릅니다.

UPE100 강재의 재질로는 EN 10025-2 규정의 S275J2, S355JR, S355J2
재질이 있을 수 있으며, 이들의 특징은 CVN 충격 시험이 있습니다.

※ Charpy V-Notch Impact Test (CVN : 샤르피 충격 시험 : 衝擊試驗)
Test to measure the absorbed energy, impact value, percentage
of brittle/ductile fracture, transition temperature, etc. with using
charpy impact testing machine in which test piece is supported by
two supports distant by 40mm so that the notch meets the middle
between supports and is broken by striking with one blow of
pendulum to the face opposite the notch.

샤르피 충격 시험기를 사용하여 시험편을 40 mm 간격이 있는 두 개의
지지대에 올려 놓고, 또한 노치부를 지지대 사이의 중앙에 놓고
노치부의 뒷면을 해머로 1회만 충격을 주어, 시험편을 파단 시키고
흡수 에너지, 충격치, 파면율, 천이 온도 등을 측정하는 시험.

※ Brittleness (취성 : 脆性)
The property of little deformability, hard and brittle in general.
It is usually compared by the strength of impact or
the surface conditions of fracture.

일반적으로 단단하고 취성 (脆性)이며, 변형 등이 적은 성질.
보통, 충격 시험에서, 충격치의 대소 또는 파면의 상황에 따라 비교합니다.
인성 (Toughness)와 반대되는 개념으로 외부의 힘에 물체가
소성 변형 (Plastic deformation)을 거의 보이지 않고, 파괴되는 현상을 말합니다.
