ASTM A29 Grade 4340 규정 강재는 저합금 강재입니다.
높은 열처리성으로, QT 열처리시에 1000 MPa 이상의 항복강도입니다.

A29 Grade 4340 강재는 열간 압연, 열간 단조해서 사용하고 이와 같은
공정을 거친 강재를 다시 절삭, 인발 (引拔 : Drawing) 등의 가공 과정을 거쳐

기계 구조용 (機械構造用)이나 mechanical engineering 용도로 사용하는
고인성 (high toughness) 고강도 (high strength) 저합금강재입니다.

A29 Grade 4340 강재는 ASTM A29 에서 화학 원소만 규정된 강재로
Tempering 온도와 Normalizing 등의 열처리에 따라 강도가 달라지는

특성의 강재로, 별도의 기계적 성질은 규정되어 있지 않습니다.
A29 Gr.4340 강재를 한쪽 끝 경화능 강재로 하면 A304-4340 규정이 적용됩니다.

소재를 잡아 당겨, 다이를 통과시키면서 단면적이나 크기를
줄여 나가거나, 금속을 경화 시키기도 하는 방법.

기계구조용합금강재 (機械構造用合金鋼)
Alloy steels used for machine parts which obtain required
properties generally by giving final working such as
forging, cutting, drawing, etc. and heat treatment.

보통 사용할 때 단조, 절삭, 인발 등의 가공과 열처리를 시행하여
소기의 성질을 얻어 기계 부품으로 만들어지는 합금강 강재.

※ H Steel (H강 : 한쪽 끝 경화능 보증강재)
such steels that the upper and lower limits of hardness or its
range at a fixed distance from the end of hardening is
guaranteed by Jominy end quenching method.
They mainly used for machine structural use

죠미니식 한쪽 끝 담금질 방법으로, 한쪽 끝단 담금질 열처리
된 곳부터 일정거리에서의 경도의 상한과 하한을 보증한 강재.
