SNC 22 – Old Symbol, SNC 815 현재 쓰이는 강재 기호입니다.
KS D 3867 기계 구조용 강재 규정 중 1개 재질로, Ni-Cr 합금강재입니다.

SNC 815 강종을 포함해 SNC 재질 5종류는 Nickel 1.0~3.5% 합금이고
니켈은 Chromium 원소와 함께 QT 열처리 성능을 높여 주는 원소입니다.

열처리 온도에 따라 기계적 성질이 변동이 있는 합금강재로 최소 인장강도
980 MPa 로, 탄소강 강재 SS400 (SS275) 400 MPa 와, 비교하면 2배 이상입니다.

SNC 815 강재는 비교적 소형 Size 로 사용되는 경우가 많으며
한쪽 끝 경화능 강재로 사용하는 경우는 강재 기호를 SNC815H 로 사용합니다.

※ Alloy (합금 : 合金)
Product consisting of a metal and one or more elements totally
soluble in it in the liquid state and capable of entering into
solid solution or forming a compound.

한 종류 이상의 다른 원소가 포함되고, 액체 상태에서는 그들이
완전히 용해되지만, 고체 상태에서는 그 원소들은, 고용되거나
화합물을 형성하는 금속 소재.

※ Mechanical properties (기계적 성질 : 機械的性質)
Various properties relating to mechanical deformation and
breaking such as tensile strength, yield point or proof strength,
elongation, reduction of area, hardness, impact value,
fatigue strength, creep strength, etc.

인장강도, 항복점, 연신율, 단면 수축율, 경도, 충격치, 피로 강도,
크리프 강도 등 기계적인 변형 및 파괴에 관계되는 성질을 말합니다.

※ Nickel (Ni)
One of the most widely used alloying elements in steel.
In amounts of 0.50% to 5.00% its use in alloy steels increases
the toughness and tensile strength without detrimental effect
on the ductility. Nickel also increases the hardenability.

니켈은 강(steel)에 많이 합금 되는 원소로, 0.50~5.00% 수준의 합금으로도, 강의
연성에 해로운 영향을 주지 않고, 강도와 인성을 증가 시키고, 경화능 향상 원소입니다.
