A582-Type 416 스텐레스는 열처리에 의해 강도를 높일 수 있는
마르텐자이트계 스텐레스이면서 쾌삭성 원소로 황 (sulfur)을

합금한 재질로 Cross reference QQ-S-764B 416 규정과 대응됩니다.
ASTM A582-Type416 강재는 Condition A — Annealed,

Condition T — Intermediate Temper,
Condition H — Hard Temper, 3종류로 나뉘고 각각 경도 제한 값이 다릅니다.

Stainless Steel Alloy 416 강재는 대기 환경에서는 높은 내식성이지만
오스테나이트 스텐레스계열 보다는 내식성이 떨어지고, 용접성도 좋지 않습니다.

Alloy 416 스텐은 열처리에 의해 높은 기계적 성질과 내마모성, 절삭성 재질이고
볼트, 너트, 기어, 샤프트, 축 재료, 피니온 등의 용도로 쓰입니다.

※ Temper (질별 : 質別)
금속 또는 합금에 요구되는 특정한 물리적 및/또는 기계적 성질을
부여하는 공정으로 (예를 들어 기계적 처리 및/또는 열처리) 후의
제품의 상태를 말합니다.

The state of material after the necessary treatment is processed for
the purpose of giving the particular physical or mechanical property
to wrought products and alloy products.

※ Sulfur (S)
Generally regarded as an impurity in steel as it can have detrimental
effects on strength, ductility, and weldability as well as producing
hot and cold shortness.
Its content in most steels is limited to a maximum of 0.050%.
Sulphur is beneficial to machining and is added to free-cutting steels
in amounts up to 0.35% with the manganese content increased
to overcome any detrimental effects.

황은 강에 대부분 나쁜 영향을 주는 원소로 적열 취성이나 청열 취성과
용접성, 연성, 강도에 부정적인 영향을 주는 원소로 최대 0.050% 로 제한합니다.
황을 최대 0.35% 수준까지 합금 하면 강에 쾌삭성을 부여하고
황의 부정적 영향을 상쇄 시키려고 망간 함량을 높입니다.
