AMS 6448 규정 강재는 높은 응력이 작용하는 항공기 부품으로 사용되며
진공용해 (VAC Melt) 방법으로 생산해, 강재 내부의 청정성을 높이고

열처리 해서 사용하는 경우, 높은 내 (耐) 충격성과 인성 (靭性), 내마모성 특징입니다.
샤프트, 기어, 고 (高) 응력 부품, 수공 (手工) 공구 용도로 사용합니다.

AMS 6448 강재는 0.50% 수준의 탄소와 크롬-바나듐 저합금 재료이고
ASTM A331-6150, UNS G61500, AISI 6150 규정과 대응되는 강재입니다.

AMS 6448 강재는 열처리 방법과 Tempering 온도에 따라 강도가 변하는 재료로
사용 환경에 맞는 다양한 기계적 성질이 가능한 합금강재입니다.

※ Vacuum Melting (진공 용해 : 眞空熔解)
Melting in a vacuum to prevent contamination from air, as well as to
remove gases already dissolved in the metal ; the solidification may
also be carried out on a vacuum or at low pressure.

진공이나 낮은 압력에서 금속을 용해하는 생산 방법으로 대기 속에
있는 산소, 불순물이 들어가지 않게 금속을 제조하는 방법으로, 의료용,
고급 금속, 특수강, 전자 산업용 금속 재료의 생산에 사용되는 방법입니다.

※ Aircraft Quality Steel (AQ Steel : 항공기강 : 航空機鋼)
AQ Steel is the most commonly specified quality for general aerospace applications.
It is defined in SAE specification AMS 2301 (자분탐상시험 : magnetic particle testing
: 磁粉探傷試驗), which outlines the procedure for determining compliance with
cleanliness requirements by the magnetic particle inspection method.

항공기강은 일반적인 항공기에 사용되는 재료로 SAE 규정의 자분탐상시험 규정인
AMS 2301 적용을 받으며, 이는 강재의 청정성에 관한 시험 규정입니다.

※ Magnetic Particle Testing (자분 탐상 시험 : 磁分探傷試驗)
철강 재료 등 강자성체를 자화 시켜, 결함부에 생긴 자극(磁極)에 의한 자분의
부착을 이용하여 결함을 검출하는 비파괴 시험을 말합니다.

Nondestructive test method in which ferromagnetic material such as iron
and steel is magnetized and sticking of magnetic particles to magnetic poles
generated in defect portions in utilized to detect defects.
