ASTM B209 Alloy 7075 재질은 2014, 2024, 2017 알루미늄과 함께
석출경화 열처리 효과로 다른 알루미늄 보다 높은 기계적 성질이고

그 중에서도 Alloy 7075 재질의 강도 수준이 가장 높아, 항공기용 재료와 높은
강도와 함께 낮은 비중 (2.80 g/㎤)이 필요한 산업에 구조체 (structural)로 쓰입니다.

또한 양면을 내식성 높은 Alloy 7072로, 심재를 7075 로 하는 Alclad 재질도 사용됩니다.
Alloy 7075 는 Sheet, Plate 재료인 경우 강도와 연신율에 따라 다양한 Temper 와 함께

AMS (Aerospace Material Specifications), 연방 규격 QQ-A-250 번호가 동시에
부여되기도 하는 높은 비강도 재료이며, Sheet/Plate 의 Temper별 AMS 는 아래와 같습니다.

AMS 4044 7075-O Sheet and Plate.
AMS 4078 7075-T351 Plate.
AMS 4045 7075-T6 Sheet and T651 Plate.

또한 단조재, 인발재, 냉간처리재, Alclad 인지에 따라
AMS 번호와 연방 규격 번호를 달리합니다.

※ Clad Plate (클래드 : 접합판)
a plate of which the base material (a plate constituting the base plate) is clad
on all the surface with a sheet of different kind alloy by the method such as
pressure welding or the like

심재 중심이 되는 판)의 표면에 피재 (종류가 다른 합금의 얇은 판)를
압접 등의 방법으로 전면에 접합한 판을 말합니다.

※ Temper
The term “temper” means the division of mechanical properties
individually formed by various processing and heat treatment
conditions in the manufacturing process.

금속 또는 합금에 요구되는 특정한 물리적 성질 또는 기계적 성질을
부여하는 공정(예를 들면 기계적 처리 및 열처리) 후의 상태를 말합니다.
