주 합금 원소 18.5Ni – 9.0Co – 4.9Mo – 0.65Ti – 0.10Al 화학 조성과 철 (Fe)로
이루어진 소모전극용해 (Consumable Electrode Melted) 방법으로 생산하는

극 청정강재로 황과 인 등 불순물을 제거로 극저 (極低) 상태의 재료입니다.
AMS 6521 재료는 열처리 전의 상태인 Solution 상태의 강재입니다.

AMS 6521 강재는 강도와 함께 크랙 전파 저항성, 인성 (toughness)를 동시에
가지는 특성으로 공구 재료,자동화 기계 부품, 높은 응력 저항성 재료로 사용됩니다.

※ Aircraft Quality Steel (AQ Steel : 항공기강 : 航空機鋼)
AQ Steel is the most commonly specified quality for general aerospace applications.
It is defined in SAE specification AMS 2301 (자분탐상시험 : magnetic particle testing
: 磁粉探傷試驗), which outlines the procedure for determining compliance with
cleanliness requirements by the magnetic particle inspection method.

항공기강은 일반적인 항공기에 사용되는 재료로 SAE 규정의 자분탐상시험 규정인
AMS 2301 적용을 받으며, 이는 강재의 청정성에 관한 시험 규정입니다.

※ Sulfur (S : 황)
In amounts of 0.06 to 0.3%, increases machinability.
It is not recommended for alloys used in hot forming.
It decreases weldability and ductility.

황 원소는 0.06~0.3% 수준의 합금으로, 절삭성을 높여 주지만
열간압연 강재에는 사용치 않으며, 용접성과 연성을 해치는 원소입니다.

※ Phosphorus (P : 燐)
The presence of this element in steel is usually regarded as an
undesirable impurity due to its embrittling effect. In most steels
it is limited to a maximum of 0.050%.

인 (燐)은 금속에 취성 성질을 주는 불순 원소로 취급되고
대부분의 강(鋼)에서는 최대 0.050% 까지로 제한합니다.
