재질 명칭 X2CrNiMo17-12-2 은 유럽 규격의 오스테나이트 스텐레스
규격으로, EN 10088-2 규정인 경우 Plate, Sheet, Strip 형상이면서

열간, 냉간으로 구분되고, 이에 따라 기계적 성질을 달리 규정하고 있습니다.
재질 번호로는 1.4404 이고, UNS 분류 번호로는 S31603 입니다.

Type 316L 재료와 비교되지만, 유럽 규격으로 사용이 지정되는 경우
ASTM, KS, JIS 316L 사용이 불가 (不可)한 Standard 간의 차이가 있습니다.

X2CrNiMo17-12-2 재질은 용접후에도 입계부식이 낮은 장점과 염화물과
내해수 (耐海水) 부식성과 틈 부식, 점 부식, 억제하는 몰리브덴 원소가 2.0~2.5%

수준의 합금이 가장 많이 사용되는 X5CrNi18-10 (1.4301) 재료와 가장 큰 차이점입니다.
저온 인성이 극히 좋으며, 용접성도 좋고, 좋은 인발성과 광택성이 있습니다.

※ 입계 부식 (Intergranular corrosion : 粒界腐蝕)
금속의 결정 입계 (grain boundary) 또는 근처에서 발생하는 부식을 말합니다.
Corrosion in or adjacent to the grain boundaries of the metal.

※ Pitting corrosion (점 부식 : 공식 : 孔蝕)
Localized corrosion resulting in pits, i.e
cavities extending from the surface into the metal

금속 표면으로부터 내부까지 확장된 구멍을 유발 시키는 국부 부식을 말합니다.

※ Crevice corrosion (틈새 부식)
금속표면과 다른 금속 (금속 또는 비금속) 사이에 형성된 작은 구멍이나
틈의 주변 가까이 또는 내부에서 발생하는 국부 부식을 말합니다.
