SPA12 재질은 KS D 3573 합금강 강관 7가지 재질 중 하나입니다.
JIS G 3458 STPA12 재질과 대응되는 몰리브덴 합금을 특징으로 하는 파이프입니다.

탄소강 강관과 다르게 몰리브덴을 합금하는 이유는 고온에서 크리프 강도와
고온 강도를 높여주기에 합금하며, 열처리시에 강도 (경화성)을 높이는 원소입니다.

고온 배관용 강관 KS 규격 SPHT380 — 550℃/17MPa 일 때 (JIS 규격 STPT370)
합금강 강관 SPA12 재질은 550℃/33 MPa 의 높은 허용 인장 응력을 가집니다.

몰리브덴 원소 nominal 0.55% 수준의 합금만으로도 고온 강도 향상됨을 알 수 있고,
SPA12 재질의 공급이 원활치 않은 경우 EN 16Mo3 (Old 15Mo3) 확장 검토가 바람직합니다.

※ Molybdenum (Mo)
Its use as an alloying element in steel increase hardenability and
in low alloy steels reduces the risk of temper brittleness.
It is used in stainless steels as well as high speed steels.
It is increases the high-temperature tensile and creep strengths in steel.

몰리브덴은 경화능 향상 원소이고, 저합금강에서는 템퍼 취성을 감소 시키는
역할을 합니다. 몰리브덴은 고속도강부터 스텐레스까지 합금 되는 원소입니다.
몰리브덴은 강에서 고온 강도와 크리프 강도를 높여주는 역할을 합니다.

※ Creep rupture test (크리프 파단 시험)
Test measure the time to rupture, elongation after fracture,
reduction of area after fracture, etc. by holding test piece
at constant temperature and applying constant tensile force.
There are at times the cases where strain is measured during
creep rupture test or by interrupting test.

시험편을 일정한 온도로 유지하고 여기에 일정한 인장 하중을 가해,
파단시간, 파단 연신율, 파단 단면 수축율 등을 측정하는 시험.
크리프 파단 시험 중 또는 시험을 중단하여 변형을 측정하는 경우도 있습니다.
