AISI 420QT 열처리 강재의 경도 값은 HRC 50 minimum 의 고경도
마르텐자이트 스테인리스 재료로, 440 Series 보다는 탄소량이 낮습니다.

이 재질은 일반적 수준의 의료용 금속으로 사용되는 경우 F899 Grade 420
규정이 적용될 수 있고, EN 1.4021 재질과 대응 가능한 강재입니다.

QT 열처리시에는 공급되는 기계적 성질 기준, 0.2% 항복강도 750 MPa,
인장강도 870 MPa 수준의 높은 강도가 가능한 고강도, 내식성 재료입니다.

AISI 420QT 조건이 아닌 420 Annealed Hot Finish — HB 241 max.
Cold Finish — HB 255 max 수준의 경도로 QT 조건인 HRC 50 minimum으로 구분됩니다.

※ Mechanical properties (기계적 성질 : 機械的性質)
Various properties relating to mechanical deformation and
breaking such as tensile strength, yield point or proof strength,
elongation, reduction of area, hardness, impact value,
fatigue strength, creep strength, etc.

인장강도, 항복점, 연신율, 단면 수축률, 경도, 충격치, 피로 강도,
크리프 강도 등 기계적인 변형 및 파괴에 관계되는 성질을 말합니다.

※ Hardness (경도 : 硬度)
Resistance to plastic deformation usually by indentation.
For steel users, it is a parameter to express different mechanical
properties of steel. It should be considered together with other
properties. For example, if two different steel grades have both
50 HRC hardness, it does not necessary mean both have the
same mechanical properties or wear resistance.

압인이나 긁힘에 의한 변형, 특히 영구적인 변형에 대한 재료의
내구성으로 강재의 기계적 성질의 지표입니다.
다른 강재가, 같은 경도 값을 가지더라도 내마모성, 기계적 성질이
다를 수 있으니, 경도와 함께 다른 기계적 성질도 참고해야 합니다.
