S235JR +N 재질은 유럽 규격의 탄소강 재질로, 강판, 형강으로 주로 사용되는
강재 재질로, S235JR +N으로 표기되는 경우는 Normalizing 열처리 조건의

강재를 말하고, As Rolled (열처리 하지 않은 열간 압연 생산 그대로)
생산한 재료와 구분하며, 열처리 비용으로 As Rolled 제품보다 가격이 높습니다.

S235JR에서 S : Steel, “235”– 최소 항복강도, “JR” — 상온에서 충격시험으로
상온인 20℃에서 27 joule minimum의 CVN 값이라는 재질 약호입니다.

유럽 철강재는 재질도 있지만 재질별 번호가 따로 있어 1.0038로 표기되면
이 번호가 S235JR을 말하고, Normalizing 처리하면 +N 을 부기해서 표시합니다.

※ Normalizing (불림 :燒準)
Heat treatment consisting of austenitizing followed by air cooling.
The purposes of this operation are to eliminate the influence of pre-working,
to render the crystal grains finder and to improve their mechanical properties.

오스테나이트화 후 공기 중에서 냉각하는 열처리로
노말라이징 열처리의 목적은 강재 생산 앞 공정에서 받은 응력(Stress)을 풀어주고
결정립을 미세화, 표준화시켜, 기계적 성질을 향상시키는 열처리를 말합니다.

※ Charpy V-Notch Impact Test (CVN : 샤르피 충격시험 : 衝擊試驗)
Test to measure the absorbed energy, impact value, percentage
of brittle/ductile fracture, transition temperature, etc. with using
charpy impact testing machine in which test piece is supported by
two supports distant by 40mm so that the notch meets the middle
between supports and is broken by striking with one blow of
pendulum to the face opposite the notch.

샤르피 충격시험기를 사용하여 시험편을 40mm 간격이 있는 두 개의
지지대에 올려 놓고, 또한 노치부를 지지대 사이의 중앙에 놓고
노치부의 뒷면을 해머로 1회만 충격을 주어, 시험편을 파단시키고
흡수에너지, 충격치, 파면율, 천이 온도 등을 측정하는 시험을 말합니다.
