17-4 Plate 강재는 17% 크롬과 4% 니켈을 합금하고 석출경화 원소로 구리를 4%
합금해, 열처리로 높은 강도와 높은 내식성을 지닌 스테인리스 강판을 말합니다.

ASTM A693 규정은 석출경화 방법으로 강도를 높일 수 있는 스테인리스 강판, 시트에 대한
재질만 모아 놓은 규정으로, 13개 강종 중 한 가지가 17-4 Plate입니다.

Annealed 조건과 열처리 조건 7가지가 있는 17-4 스테인리스 강판은 열처리시에
높은 기계적 성질로 Condition H900 – 최소 항복강도 1170 MPa,

Cond H1400+H1150 최소 항복강도 515 MPa까지, 기계적 성질이 다양합니다.
17-4 재질은 부르는 이름도 많아 ASTM A693-S17400, A693 XM-12, A693-630

A693 17-4PH으로도 불리며, 높은 강도와 내식성을 가진 스테인리스이고
높은 응력 견딤과 내식성이 필요한 기계용, 항공용, 해상설비 용도입니다.

※ Mechanical properties (기계적성질 : 機械的性質)
Various properties relating to mechanical deformation and
breaking such as tensile strength, yield point or proof strength,
elongation, reduction of area, hardness, impact value,
fatigue strength, creep strength, etc.
인장강도, 항복점, 연신율, 단면 수축률, 경도, 충격치, 피로 강도,
크리프 강도 등 기계적인 변형 및 파괴에 관계되는 성질을 말합니다.

※ 열처리( Heat Treatment : 熱處理)
철강재의 전체 또는 일부에 열 사이클을 적용하여 그 성질 또는 조직을 변화 시키는
일련의 작업으로, 철강재의 화학 조성은 이러한 작업 과정으로 변할 수 있습니다.
